Each year Air Sailing celebrates the end of the flying year with an awards banquet and silent auction. In addition to being our major annual fundraiser, it's a chance to recognize outstanding (and sometimes outlandish) accomplishments throughout the year.

The Gerlach Dash succeeds the Fallon Trophy Dash as the last big soaring event of the season. Sponsored by the Nevada Soaring Association, pilots fly through the gate at Air Sailing and finish on the Black Rock Desert just north of Gerlach.
The short course is ASI-Gerlach direct for 55.5 miles while the long course takes 15m+ gliders to Gerlach via Rye Patch Dam for 138.5 miles. Bruno's Country Club prepares a predictably fabulous banquet, followed inevitably by tall stories and good fun late into the night. Motel reservations at Bruno's in Gerlach (775) 557-2220.
